Welcome to the Peep Peep Thomas overview of the Take-N-Play Thomas Range.
Released in 2010, the Mattel Fisher Price Take-N-Play Thomas range was brought out to replace the Learning Curve Take Along Thomas range that was released in 2005, which in itself replaced the first line of Die cast Thomas Engines and Carriages from Ertl.
The Take-N-Play Thomas Range is not compatible with Wooden Thomas, Trackmaster Thomas, Hornby Thomas or Megabloks Thomas Trains and sets, it makes an ideal Thomas range to collect as most trains are priced from £5.00- £10.00 with sets starting from £15.00 -£50.00, there is plenty to choose from for added carriages and track packs.
We have to say in our opinion Mattel Fisher Price have done a good job with the range, they stuck with the same principals of the Take Along trains with the smart magnets that made playing with the trains a lot easier for any little Thomas engineer than the more detailed Ertl range that did not have the easiest of connectors for small hands.
Mattel Fisher Price have built up the Take-N-Play range to make sure they include all the main characters such as Thomas, Percy, Edward, Gordon, Toby, Emily and Henry, but also have included the new characters from the films Hero of the Rails, Misty Island Rescue, Day of the Diesels and the forthcoming Thomas and the Blue Mountain Mystery with characters such as Bash, Dash, Victor, Hiro, Luke, Paxton, Ferdinand, Belle, Flynn and many more.
The packaging on the Take-N-Play trains is good, and as a reseller we are pleased with the high level of satisfaction customers have enjoyed in purchasing their range of trains, sets etc.
From our 10 years experience of selling Thomas the Tank Engine Trains we know the following releases would please any Thomas collector and any Thomas engineer,such as Take-N-Play Express coaches (everyone knows that’s what Gordon pulls) or how about Take-N-Play Henrietta, Take-N-Play coaches for Emily, or the Take-N-Play Duke and Duchess Coach for Spencer, how many of you think they would be a good idea?
